Paul Chretien, M.D.
A board-eligible pediatric neurologist, Dr. Chretien has many years of experience diagnosing and treating children and adolescents with neurological disorders, and was Sacramento’s first child neurologist in private practice. He earned his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. Dr. Chretien was a pediatric intern and resident at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, and completed his training in neurology and child neurology at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. During his medical education, Dr. Chretien gained practical medical experience through a series of Locum Tenens positions. He opened this practice with Dr. Asaikar in 1990.
Dr. Chretien’s special interests include epilepsy, ADHD, migraine and cerebral palsy.
He is a voting member of The Pediatric Administrative/Quality Improvement Committee for Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento.
Dr. Chretien enjoys the arts, especially musical theater. He is also an avid gardener and bicyclist. His idea of a perfect holiday? Snowmobiling in Yellowstone with his wife and seven children.
