CANC to participate in clinical trial of new migrane drug
GlaxoSmithKline, Inc. has invited Child and Adolescent Neurology Consultants to participate in clinical drug trials for an investigational drug to treat migraine in adolescents aged 12 to 17. The drug combines Sumatriptan, the active ingredient in Imitrex, a time-tested and highly effective medication, and naproxen sodium. The study drug was designed to attempt to improve the efficacy of Imitrex, and received FDA approval for use in adults in May of 2008.
CANC staff members have undergone extensive training in order to be certified as a clinical test site. We are actively screening prospective participants in the study.
